One of the ways I love giving back is through the Greensboro,NC. based I Am A Queen Foundation. Founder/Executive Director Alana Allen (pictured above) founded the organization around seven years ago. It’s more than just a “non-profit” but a ministry whose focus is on empowering women to embrace the Queen on the inside and encourages others to give back abundantly.

In addition to the annual I Am A Queen conference, they are constantly giving back through other events that are held to serve the community at large. One of the largest and most impactful is the Annual Back To School Drive which provides backpacks full of school supplies for every child that attends. This year’s event will take place on August 6, 2016.

Since it’s inception in 2009, I Am A Queen’s Annual Back To School Drive has served close to 3,000 children with filled backpacks of school supplies. This year’s goal is to serve at least 1,000 children from the Triad with the same. In order for that to happen, they really need your help! You can visit for details of the school supply drive and how to make donations. Just look for the donation button at the top left hand corner. Also, you don’t have to have a PayPal account to give. They accept cards like any other merchant. No amount is too small because every dollar counts. Let’s show how much we love the children by giving back and crushing the goal of 1,000 children served with a back pack full of school supplies!
